Google: We’re fine with keeping you waiting for slow Android updates

Android smartphones are not typically updated very frequently, leaving many owners to either try and update their own device, or wait for months or even years to get the latest operating system. Sony Japan on Thursday confirmed that an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update is soon headed to the Tablet S and Tablet P. Sony Tablet owners will receive an Android 4.0.3 update next month, however it is unclear if this is only for the Japanese market. One day ahead of the IFA trade show in Berlin, Sony revealed more details on its Tablet S and Tablet P devices, originally known as the S1 and the S2. Both tablets are equipped with NVIDIA’s dual-core Tegra 2 processor, front and rear facing cameras and an SD card slot.
