HTC 10 vs Galaxy S7: How their 5 most important features compare

HTC 10 Vs Galaxy S7
The HTC 10 is now official, which means the last piece of the Android flagship puzzle has fallen into place. If you haven't already read our in-depth HTC 10 review, you should definitely make it a point to catch up. HTC has done phenomenal work with its latest high-end handset, addressing nearly every pain point users had and putting together a smartphone that checks almost every important box. Now that the Android landscape for the first half of the year has been laid out, we'll be spending plenty of time comparing all the new Android flagships in an effort to help readers find the right phone. To start things off, we're going to look at the brand new HTC 10 as it compares to the most popular flagship Android phone in the world right now, Samsung's Galaxy S7.

HTC 10 review: Ho… ly… s**t.

HTC 10 Review
If we're really being honest, smartphones had become pretty boring for a while. They all looked the same and were all replaced each year by newer models with slightly better specs and minor feature upgrades. But then something started to happen. Growth slowed for some of the industry's top players and completely vanished for others, thanks in part to a lack of innovation and increased pressure from low-cost options out of China. Phone makers are seriously turning up the heat in 2016 as a result, and the fresh new HTC 10 is the latest new offering that looks to reignite consumers' love affair with smartphones.

HTC 10 Review: A Last Grasp at Greatness

When giants fall, they fall spectacularly, and HTC’s descent over the last few years has been remarkable to watch. After creating a trendsetting phone in 2013, it imploded just two years later with sluggish and poorly-reviewed follow-ups. Their newest phone, the HTC 10, is about crawling back from obscurity. While remnants of its old design clings to the familiar shiny and chrome exterior, almost everything inside this phone is reinvention: from the speakers to the software to the camera.

The HTC 10 is the first Android device to ship with native AirPlay audio streaming support

Android has featured the ability to stream to AirPlay devices like the Apple TV by means of third-party utilities for some time now, but no Android device has ever shipped with native AirPlay support in tow. That’s all changed with the announcement of the HTC 10, the first device to ship with native AirPlay support.

Huh?! HTC 10 is the first Android phone ever to support Apple’s AirPlay streaming

HTC 10 Specs
Apple surprised many fans last year when it began releasing in-house apps for Android. No, we're not just talking about the Move to iOS app, which helps Android users transfer their data from an old Android phone to a new iPhone. We're also talking about Apple Music, which is an Android app that Apple built from the ground up for Android users in an effort to broaden the addressable market for its music service. The company's willingness to work with rivals took an interesting twist on Tuesday when HTC unveiled the new HTC 10. What does this new flagship Android phone have to do with Apple? As it turns out, it marks the first time ever that an Android phone will ship with support for AirPlay streaming out of the box.

The HTC 10 is fresh off the aluminum block, available for pre-order

L1130632 resh out of development from the company labs in Taiwan, the HTC 10 is not only a new flagship smartphone: it’s a near-complete overhaul. I’m one to enthuse over specifications, so let’s get to them right away. The HTC 10 uses a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor, clocked at 2.2GHz. That’s supplemented by 4GB of RAM, as does a Adreno 530 chip for… Read More

This is the HTC 10

Screen Shot 2016-04-11 at 7.40.05 AM HTC is set to announce its next flagship smartphone tomorrow at a NYC event. But here it is early. The leaked promotional video shows the evolution of HTC’s design with a chamfered edge, camera bump and oval-shaped home button — and like previous HTC devices, the next phone still looks like an iPhone. The video seemingly confirms that the device will sport an UBS-C charging port… Read More

No company deserves a second chance more than HTC

HTC Vive HTC 10 Announcements
For the past several years, HTC has been known for three things: Killer hardware, terrible advertising and plummeting sales. When HTC delivered a disappointing flagship phone last year, the bottom really fell out from the company and it seemed to be in a tailspin. In fact, HTC's revenue numbers still look absolutely dreadful and they've shown no indication that they're about to improve anytime soon. That said: If there's a company out there that deserves to get a second chance at success, it's HTC.
