Samsung Galaxy S Advance receives early hands-on preview

The Samsung Galaxy S Advance was announced on Monday, and not even a week later the device has shown up in Vietnam and received a hands-on from Mai Nguyen. The handset reportedly features a design that is a combination of the Galaxy S II and Galaxy Nexus, complete with a curved display. The Advance’s specs fall between the Galaxy S II and original Galaxy S, however, featuring a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, a 1GHz dual-core processor, a 5-megapixel camera, 768MB of RAM and 2GB of internal storage. Samsung unveils the Galaxy S Advance smartphone; global roll-out begins next month

Never afraid of a mouthful when it comes to device names, Samsung on Monday unveiled the Galaxy S Advance smartphone. The new phone is seemingly set to be positioned as a mid-range handset with specs that fall between the original Galaxy S and the updated Galaxy S II line. The Galaxy S Advance features a curved design with a 4-inch Super AMOLED display with 480 x 800-pixel resolution, a dual core 1GHz processor, a 5-megapixel camera, HSPA 14.4 support, 768MB of RAM and up to 16GB of internal storage. The phone will launch with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and Samsung has not made any plans for an Ice Cream Sandwich update public. Russia has been named as the handset’s launch market
