Donald Trump, Fanboy in Chief

Donald Trump phone conversations with world leaders, Washington DC, USA - 28 Jan 2017

I used to think that we were past the days of the iSheeple and the Crapdroid wars. But based on recent goings-on at 1600 Pennsylvnia Avenue, it looks like unabashed favorism is back in style.

We already knew that President Trump favors an old (and unsecure) Android phone for his tweeting, most likely an old Samsung Galaxy S3 or S4 device. We also knew that he's not an Apple fan, as he's previously called for a boycott on Apple products, and he obviously dislikes any American firm producing overseas.

Jon Stewart perfectly blasts Donald Trump and his executive orders

Jon Stewart vs. Donald Trump

Trevor Noah is doing a splendid job replacing Jon Stewart on The Daily Show, but Stewart can’t really be replaced. The former Daily Show star on Tuesday reminded us why we miss him so much. Stewart was a guest of his former correspondent, Stephen Colbert, on The Late Show, where he mocked Donald Trump’s first days in office as only he can.

You can already buy just about anything you need at Walmart, and now the mega retailer is going to start selling something you probably never expected: cars. Yep, the country's biggest store chain will provide car-buying services at 25 of its largest stores in Texas, Arizona, and Oklahoma, allowing you to walk into the store for a gallon of milk and walk out with a new gas-guzzling SUV. Isn't America wonderful?

New ‘Walking Dead’ promo teases the fight ahead

The Walking Dead Teaser Season 7

The second half of Walking Dead’s season 7 is fast approaching, and I don’t know whether to be excited or not. Aside from a few good episodes, including the extremely violent premiere, season 7 failed to impress. Hopefully, the second half of the season will be much better — for some reason, I still hope AMC will turn things around. But until then, let’s check out a brand new video teaser for the show.

Adidas wants to sell you 3D printed shoes for $333

adidas 3d runner

Most of the time, when we think of 3D printing we imagine it being a low-cost endeavor. Aside from the upfront cost of the machines, actually printing something is supposed to be the new, easy way to make objects appear out of thin air, and for a fraction of the cost of buying it outright. Adidas clearly has something else in mind, because it's priced its new 3D-printed footwear at a large premium.

Samsung is really definitely not making a car

Samsung Smart Car Release Date

A few days ago, Samsung announced its biggest acquisition ever: $8 billion for Harman, a company that’s making more money from its car-related business than its stellar audio products. Samsung emphasized Harman’s business, suggesting that it’s very interested in the future of the connected car, prompting many to speculate on whether Samsung is looking to build a car of its own. But it turns out that Samsung doesn’t want to make a car right now.

Apple pushes Apple Pay on the web with attractive online discounts

Apple Pay Deals
Apple Pay hasn't swept the world by storm just yet, but Apple's homegrown payment service continues to grow by leaps and bounds. As an illustrative example, Tim Cook said during Apple's most recent earnings conference call that the number of Apple Pay transactions increased by 500% year over year. Looking ahead, we can expect the volume of Apple Pay transactions to grow even more now that macOS Sierra supports Apple Pay on the web. Additionally, Apple's recently revamped MacBook Pro has a Touch ID sensor built right into the keyboard, providing an efficient means to authenticate online transactions.

Samsung and LG invest nearly $12B in ‘do or die’ fight for Apple’s money

iPhone 8 Rumors OLED Display
As much as they must hate the popularity of the iPhone, Samsung and LG both probably love Apple’s smartphone. At least, the non-mobile divisions that are looking to win over more iPhone supply orders from Apple. Specifically, the two Korean giants are embroiled in a “do or die” battle for Apple’s attention concerning a critical component for the iPhone 8 and its successors.

Here’s what Microsoft Office looks like on the MacBook Pro’s Touch Bar

MacBook Pro Touch Bar Office
Apple demoed plenty of apps during its MacBook Pro even on Thursday, all ready to support the exciting new Touch Bar touchscreen that will offer users a handy selection of contextual shortcuts right under the screen. One of the companies that’s ready to support Apple’s new computing experience is one of its biggest rivals. Even if Microsoft just announced a bunch of products that compete directly against the new MacBooks and the other Macs, the company is still ready to support customers that want to spend north of $1,800 on a Touch Bar Mac.
