Kat Hannaford’s Favourite Gizmodo Post [Gizmodo 10]

Like any good nerdlinger, Simon Pegg is one of my favourite actors. It just so happens that I frickin' hate the unnecessary gimmick that is 3D too, so when I spotted Pegg mouthing off in a 10-tweet tirade (sample: "3D used in films not aimed at children is like seeing someone you respect trying too hard. Like witnessing your dad in leather trousers"), I couldn't help but post it. In true internet metaness-style, seeing Pegg's next tweet, linking to my post about his tweets, I then self-combusted into flames. Or maybe that was due to Jesus' death-glare, over my first (miserably naff) attempt at a blockquote image. Sozzlepops! More »

What’s More Fun Than the Fail Whale? This Dinky Whale Speaker [Speakers]

How cute is this little-widdle whale speaker? It wraps around iPhones, and plugs right into the audio jack with its trusty 3.5mm jack. Unfortunately he's native to the Korean waters, but hopefully he'll swim over to the US where he'll sell for around $30. [EarlyAdopterShop via Technabob] More »

Best Buy’s Slipping a Galaxy Tab in Your Pocket When You Buy a Samsung TV [Blip]

Perhaps HP could learn a trick from Samsung's generosity, and shift piles of TouchPads by bundling them with computer purchases. Running a week from this Sunday, a 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab will be free when a 46-inch 3DTV's bought for $1,5000. [WSJ] More »

Is This the Smartest Way to Squeeze Every Morsel of Toothpaste Out? [Design]

We've seen countless examples of how the humble tube of toothpaste can be redesigned so every little drop can be put to good use, but designer Catherine Werdel's toothbrush-squeezer might be my favorite yet. [Catherine Werdel via Fancy via OhGizmo] More »
