KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is out tonight with a new investor note. Kuo explains that, despite initially believing Apple might readopt fingerprint technology, it’s now likely that all 2018 iPhone models will move to Face ID and leave Touch ID in the past…

This is how a foldable iPhone X would work

iPhone X Foldable Display

The iPhone X has the biggest screen-to-front ratio ever seen in an iPhone, but Apple isn’t done enlarging the display. A report earlier this week said Apple is already working with LG on bendable screen designs. The company is apparently trying to keep its plan secret from Samsung, which is currently the only supplier of foldable OLED screens.

Meanwhile, a patent application surfaced on Thursday, describing exactly screen technology that would allow Apple to manufacture devices with foldable displays.

How the iPhone’s insides have changed, from the original iPhone to the iPhone X

iPhone 8 vs iPhone 7 vs original iPhone

We all know that the iPhone has changed a lot. If you have an old original iPhone lying in a drawer somewhere, you've probably picked it up in the past couple of years, and marveled at how thick it is, and how tiny the screen seems.

Bloomberg and iFixit have teamed up to take the basic gawking a step further. In a neat new project, they've superimposed the guts of every generation of iPhone next to each other, and the contrast is truly startling.

So many people throw pizza on the ‘Breaking Bad’ house they had to put up a fence

breaking bad house

Walter White was a fictional character who never really existed, but the residence that served as his New Mexico home most definitely does exist, and its owners are fed up with Breaking Bad fans making their lives a living hell. The Albuquerque home has become a hot spot for tourists in the years since the hit AMC drama wrapped up, and the number of increasingly rude visitors to the fictional meth kingpin's address has driven the current residents to erect a large fence to keep fans — and pizza — out.

As reported by the local KOB4 news station, the 6-foot-high iron fence will be completed shortly, and it will hopefully dissuade Breaking Bad fans from harassing the family any further. According to the residents, sight-seers often stop for photos in front of the home, which isn't terribly bothersome, but they often go too far.

OnePlus 5T render leaks, and it sure looks like a Galaxy S8

OnePlus 5T Release Date

Will OnePlus launch one more phone this year? We can’t say for sure, as we have conflicting reports on the matter. Some say OnePlus will unveil a OnePlus 6 early next year, as a OnePlus 5T would not make much sense considering there’s no new hardware for the handset.

Others, meanwhile, claim that a OnePlus 5T phone is on track for launch this year, sporting an all-screen design like the Galaxy S8.

Whatever you do, though, one thing's clear: do not buy the OnePlus 5 right now!

Reports of weak iPhone 8 demand are way off the mark

iPhone 8 Vs iPhone X

A recent piece from Bloomberg argues that investors might have reason to be concerned about demand for the iPhone 8. Citing early disclosure data from AT&T financial statements, Shira Ovide relays that the number of subscribers opting to exchange older smartphones for newer models dropped by 900,000 year over year.

"The quarter included about a week of U.S. sales for Apple's iPhone 8 models, one of two new smartphone lines the company debuted last month," Ovide writes. "If the iPhone 8 had been a hit out of the gate, then I would have expected AT&T's upgrade number might at least have fallen less dramatically."
