Killing the NES Classic Edition looks like a worse and worse idea

NES Classic Edition vs. PS4. vs Xbox One

Last month, Nintendo shocked the world when it announced the discontinuation of the NES Classic Edition. Plus, with the Switch having just launched, Nintendo couldn't split its focus.

It's hard to say whether or not this was the correct decision, but there's no denying that the NES Classic would have continued to sell if Nintendo had kept shipping it. Need proof? Check the latest figures from The NPD Group, which show the NES Classic Edition was the second best-selling console of April.

Project recreates cities in rich 3D from images harvested online

People are taking photos and videos all over major cities, all the time, from every angle. Theoretically, with enough of them, you could map every street and building — wait, did I say theoretically? I meant in practice, as the VarCity project has demonstrated with Zurich, Switzerland. Read More

Android O’s most exciting new feature is a total game-changer

Google Pixel Android O Update Project Treble

Google shared more details about its next major Android release during its opening keynote at Google I/O 2017. There are many user-facing features that Android fans will appreciate, but also several under-the-hood changes that should make Android even better in the coming years. One of them was actually unveiled a few days before Google’s developer event kicked off, and Google only mentioned it briefly during the event. But Project Treble is an amazing trick, at least in theory, that could finally fix one of Google’s most annoying Android problems. In the process, the feature might make the Google Pixel even better than it already is.

‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’ season 3 now streaming on Netflix

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season 3

Last year, Netflix announced that it would spend $6 billion on original content in 2017. That's more money than NBC, CBS or virtually any other network on the market plan to spend, but it's already paying dividends for the streaming service. In May alone, 29 original TV shows, movies and comedy specials are coming exclusively to Netflix, including the return of popular series like House of Cards and Master of None. You can see the full list of additions streaming on Netflix in May right here.

Today, we want to focus on one Netflix original series in particular: Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. The third season of the popular sitcom is streaming right now on Netflix, so set aside some time this weekend.

This iOS 11 concept officially has me excited

iOS 11 features, release date

We're just weeks away from WWDC, Apple's big yearly developer conference where it reveals the next version of iOS. There's been a surprising lack of leaks about iOS 11, so most of our expectations are based on wishful thinking and guesswork.
