Survey claims Apple is now the world’s 20th most reputable brand, despite once coming in at the top

While Apple still holds a commanding lead, a new survey from research firm Reputation Institute claims that both Apple and Samsung have suffered significant drops in their reputations over the last year. The data, which was collected from over 170,000 consumers, shows that Apple has slipped to the 20th spot on the list, while Samsung dropped to number 70.

Following MacBook Pro backlash, Tim Cook promises Apple won’t forget about its Pro users

Tim Cook earlier today addressed growing concerns that Apple is no longer interested in catering to creative professionals. During a Q&A session at Apple's annual shareholder meeting, Cook said that Apple remains committed to the Pro market and that the company has no plans to abandon that specific user demographic.

Why the iPhone 8 deserves USB-C

iPhone 8 rumors

By every account, the iPhone 8 is going to be a big deal. If the rumors are to be believed, it will be a bezel-less, button-free monster of a smartphone, coming to raid our bank accounts and our free time.

That's all well and good, but a new Wall Street Journal report has everyone freaked out over a seemingly minor detail: Apple might ditch the Lightning connector in favor of USB-C. That might seem like a particularly courageous move on Apple's part -- Lightning only came into being in 2012, so we're not really due a change in connector yet -- but I'm here to tell you why it makes a tremendous amount of sense.
